Providence – Wright-Pierce, an engineering consulting firm with an office in Providence, has attained its highest ranking to date in Engineering News Record’s 2013 Top 500 Design Firms list, improving its ranking by 32 positions compared to 2012.

The firm ranked No. 369 in the 2013 list and reported $29.5 million in domestic revenue. The improved ranking is a result of the firms’ 16 percent revenue growth in 2013 and continued company expansion.

Since early 2013, Wright-Pierce expanded its staff by 20 percent, adding nearly 200 people to its technical and management teams. The company also opened a new location in Manchester, N.H. last June and recently completed expansions at its Middletown, Conn., and Andover, Mass., offices to accommodate projected growth.

Bill Brown, president and CEO, attributes the 65-year-old firm’s growth and higher ENR ranking to the company’s “strong commitment to working with clients to identify and implement the best, most sustainable solutions for their infrastructure needs.”

“The work we do and [our] recognition in the industry has enabled us to attract talented individuals whose contributions allow us to provide increasingly strong service to our expanding client base,” Brown said.
