* Job training: RIEDC will help companies upgrade the skills of their current employees and assist in recruiting and training a workforce that will enhance companies’ competitiveness and reduce training expenses.
* Real estate and site location analysis: RIEDC will assist companies in utilizing state and local resources for companies considering expansion or relocation.
* Trade missions and trade shows: To assist Rhode Island companies selling to international markets, RIEDC recruits companies to participate in trade shows and trade missions. Customized Export Management Training Programs for RI Businesses: In partnership with the Human Resource Investment Council, the RIEDC provides funding for export training programs to qualified companies. Market Entry Programs: The U.S. Department of Commerce District Export Assistance Center in Providence and the RIEDC have teamed up to help export-ready Rhode Island companies make global business contacts. General Export Assistance: RIEDC’s International Trade Office can also answer a variety of general export questions.

RIEDC’s Account Management Program (AMP) is designed to provide businesses with a “one stop” option for obtaining business information. The EDC encourages businesses to view the AMP as a clearinghouse and complete business resource. The AMP is exists to assess the needs of individual business and to serve as a liaison between businesses and resource organizations.
