Bradley, Hasbro announce educational programs

Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Bradley Hospital will again be offering educational workshops this fall as part of the Speaking of Kids program, sponsored by Tufts Health Plan.
Each workshop will be about two hours long, including time for audience questions. All will be held in Bradley’s Ruggles Gymnasium, 1011 Veterans Memorial Pkwy., East Providence, and are free and open to the public. Professional-development credits are available.
The schedule is:

  • Thursday, Sept. 24, 6:30 p.m.: “Positive approaches to discipline,” with Rowland Barrett, of Bradley.
  • Thursday, Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m.: “Look me in the eye: Growing up with Asperger’s syndrome,” with author John Robinson.
  • Thursday, Nov. 19, 6:30 p.m.: “The sleep and ADHD connection,” with Dr. Judith Owens, of Hasbro.
  • Thursday, Jan. 21, 6:30 p.m.: “Depression in children and teens,” with Dr. Greg Fritz, of Bradley.
