WESTERLY – The board of directors of Washington Trust Bancorp Inc., the publicly owned holding company for The Washington Trust Co., last week declared a dividend of 20 cents per share for the quarter ending Sept. 30.
The amount is the same as Washington Trust paid in the second quarter. The third-quarter dividend will be payable Oct. 11 to shareholders of record on Oct. 1, the company said.

The bank plans to announce its third-quarter earnings and host a conference call on Oct. 22; the call, at 4:30 p.m., will be Webcast through the bank’s Web site, www.washtrust.com.
