Mike Montecalvo has joined the anchor desk for Eyewitness News at 5:30 p.m. on WPRI 12.
He was previously co-anchor of Eyewitness News This Morning.
He has been a broadcaster in the Rhode Island market since 1981 and spent 21 years in radio, working at 103.7 WRX, B101, WHJJ and others.
Montecalvo was the original news anchor/producer of the Imus in the Morning show in Providence until 2004.
He is a graduate of Rhode Island College.
