Patrick J. Burke has been appointed assistant headmaster for development at Portsmouth Abbey School. A 1986 graduate of the school, Burke had been director of development and alumni affairs since 1998.
He previously worked at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Conn. He has a B.A. in history from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., and is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
