Mass. foreclosures hit three-year high mark, report finds

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Massachusetts foreclosures in February reached a three-year high, according to a report released this week by ForeclosuresMass, a provider of Bay State foreclosure data.

Foreclosures were filed on 1,200 Massachusetts properties this past February, 25.4 percent more than February 2005, and 63.3 percent more than February 2004, the report said.

From January to February of this year, Massachusetts foreclosures increased 11.63 percent. Plymouth County saw a one-month leap of 34 percent, the report said.
