AMEC, an international project management and services company, has opened an office in East Providence at 24 Hemingway Drive. The office will specialize in brownfields redevelopment, water resources engineering, stormwater utilities and environmental permitting, engineering and management.
By opening an office in Rhode Island, AMEC says it could play a role in an “economic boom” that’s changing the look of the Providence metro area. AMEC said it chose to locate in East Providence, in particular, to help clients redevelop three miles of waterfront property that has been designated by the city for redevelopment.

The new office will be led by Dan Connery and Jack Schiavone, two local men with extensive experience in the environmental management industry.
