Harry C. Sax has been named surgeon-in-chief at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He previously worked as professor of surgery at the University of Rochester and medical director of the adult nutrition support service at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. Sax attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University and served his residency and fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He is also an ad hoc reviewer for the American Journal of Physiology, Annals of Surgery and Gastroenterology, among others.
