Radiothon raises $1.4 million

A live radiothon raised nearly $1.4 million to benefit the pediatric cancer program and research at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Approximately 7,100 people donated, making “Cure Kids Cancer” the most successful first-time radiothon for children in North America, the hospital said in a release.

Stations 92 PRO-FM, LITE ROCK 105, NewsRadio 630 WPRO, SportsRadio 99.7 and 790 The SCORE and HOT 106 hosted the radiothon from the lower lobby of the hospital on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29. The stations then broadcast from the Warwick Mall on Saturday.
