Gary J. Heidel has been promoted to senior vice president/director of small-business government program services at Citizens Financial Group. He is responsible for increasing small-business lending activity throughout the New England, mid-Atlantic and midwest regions for the company. He joined the bank in 1998 from Textron Financial Corp. Heidel is a board member of the Connecticut Community Investment Corporation and a member of the New England Liaison Committee of the National Association Government Guaranteed Lenders. He received a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and international business graduate studies from Johnson & Wales University. Heidel lives in Warwick.
