West Greenwich-based GTECH Holdings Corp. and Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Pawtucket-based Hasbro Inc., announced yesterday a licensing agreement that grants GTECH the rights to develop and distribute select lottery products featuring Hasbro’s Monopoly and Battleship brands in the United States, Canada and Mexico, according to a PR Newswire press release.
Under the agreement, GTECH, which operates government-authorized lotteries, will develop versions of the games to appear on four major online channels: Traditional, Social Space, Interactive and Electronic Instant Lottery.

The Monopoly and Battleship brands, in combination with new lottery technology, makes games accessible in social venues such as restaurants, taverns and over the Internet.

The first Monopoly and Battleship branded lottery games are expected to be available to GTECH customers and lottery players this fall.
The Hasbro Properties Group develops and expands Hasbro’s core brands, such as G.I. Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony, Monopoly and Candy Land, into a wide variety of entertainment and consumer categories.
