Sandra L. Solem has joined Salve Regina University as chair of the nursing
department. She previously worked associate professor at Point Loma Nazarene
University in San Diego. Solem recently was awarded the Sigma Theta Tau, Zeta
Mu Chapter Award for Nursing Excellence. She holds a bachelor’s degree from
Montana State University and both master’s and Ph.D from the University of San
Diego. Solem lives in Newport.
