William R. Eccles Jr., senior vice president for Fall River Five Cent Savings Bank, has assumed duties as the bank’s senior loan officer. In this position, he is responsible for all aspects of the commercial and retail loan departments, including residential lending, consumer lending, commercial services and loan administration. Eccles is also responsible for the accounts services and security and building administration departments. He has been with the bank for 33 years. Eccles serves as chairman of the United Way of Greater Fall River and as member of the board of directors for the Fall River Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He lives in Somerset, Mass.
