Sharon L. Arruda of The Washington Trust Company has been appointed vice president, underwriting manager. She is responsible for the centralized underwriting of residential mortgages and manages the processing, closing and quality control areas of the department. Arruda holds a Mortgage Loan Originator certification. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University. Arruda lives in Westerly.
