survey of 70 top business leaders throughout the state, representing small and
large companies in a variety of industries and businesses.
QUESTION: Robert Healey, the Cool Moose candidate for lieutenant governor
received 19 percent, or nearly 60,000 votes, running on a campaign platform
to eliminate the office. Should Rhode Island seriously consider eliminating
the lieutenant governor’s post as part of an overall effort to save taxpayer
dollars?
Yes: 74% No: 26%
QUESTION: Republican Don Carcieri defeated Democrat Myrth York in the race
for governor by 10 percentage points. If the gubernatorial campaign had lasted
another two weeks, what do you predict the outcome would have been?
Carcieri would have won by a wider margin: 78%
York would have won: 0%

QUESTION: Republican Dave Rogers lost to Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy
by a margin of 60 percent to 37 percent. Can Rogers make a legitimate run at
