Thomas E. Coughlin of Hingham, Mass. has been appointed vice president and area branch manager of The Washington Trust Company’s Providence and Cranston offices. He is responsible for the overall operations of the branches. He worked at First Bank and Trust Company in retail banking. Coughlin serves on the member board for the Providence Downtown Merchants, the Cranston Chamber of Commerce and Hingham Youth Football.
