Astro-Med, Inc. expects reduced sales


WEST WARWICK – Astro-Med, Inc. has stated it expects sales in the fourth quarter ended January 31, 2002, to be approximately $12.5 million. The company does, however, expect to report a nominal profit in the fourth quarter. As a result of the loss incurred during the preceding three quarters, the company will report a loss for the year when it releases its audited financial results on Tuesday, March 19, 2002.


Astro-Med, Inc. is a manufacturer of high tech specialty printing systems, electronic medical instrumentation and test and measurement instruments employed around the world in a wide range of industrial, scientific and medical applications.


Management will discuss results of the fourth quarter and detail the steps it is taking to return to profitable operations during a conference call on Wednesday, March 20, 2002.
