Cingular sells interest in Cellular One

ATLANTA — Cingular Wireless, with offices in Providence, has completed the sale of Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems’ ownership interest in Cellular One Group to Western Wireless Corporation. Southwestern Bell is a subsidiary of Cingular Wireless, LLC. As a result of this transaction, subsidiaries of Western Wireless own 100 percent of the Cellular One Group, which owns, licenses and promotes nationwide the CELLULAR ONE® brand and related trademarks, services marks and designs. This transaction does not affect any Cingular customers or assets. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.
