The TJX Companies are off-price retailers of apparel and home fashions, operating
in the United States 661 T.J. Maxx stores, 535 Marshalls, 81 Homegoods and 25
A.J. Wright Stores. In Canada, the company operates 117 Winners stores and in
Europe it has 74 T.K. Maxx stores. TJX Companies operates five T.J. Maxx stores
in Rhode Island, three Marshalls, two HomeGoods and two A.J. Wright stores. For
the quarter that ended April 28, the company’s sales increased 8 percent to $2.27
billion, while earnings decreased 5 percent to $123.7 million.
