MENLO PARK, Calif. — In spite of a rash of firings or layoffs at several high-tech
firms, a survey of chief information officers by RHI Consulting has found that
nationally they expect a 12 percent increase in the hiring of information technology
professionals. In New England, the survey suggested the increase wold be even
higher, 21 percent. The poll was conducted among 1,400 chief information officers,
randomly selected from companies with 100 or more employees.
