Debra L. Curless has been named development director at St. Mary Academy-Bay View, a Catholic school located in East Providence. She will be responsible for the current capital campaign, the annual appeal, and other fundraising activities for the school. She was formerly employed as executive director at the American Diabetes Association of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and director of development and community relations at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, Mass. Curless holds a master’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois. She is a member of the Providence Rotary Club, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Faxon Animal Rescue League board, and Women in Development. She resides in East Providence.
