BOSTON — Keane, Inc., a software planner and consultant, announced that it was
cutting 176 jobs, about 2 percent of its staff, Bloomberg News reported. The job
cuts included firings and attrition, the company reported. Keane also announced
that it would sell its help-desk business to an unnamed purchaser for an undisclosed
price, Bloomberg reported. That business includes technical support centers in
Kirkland, Wash., and Tucson, Ariz.
