PEMBROKE, BERMUDA and CLEVELAND — Tyco Fire & Security Services, a subsidiary of Tyco International Ltd., a diversified manufacturing and service company, has agreed to acquire Scott Technologies, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of respiratory systems and other life-saving devices for the firefighting and aviation markets. According to Tyco, Scott Technologies stockholders will receive Tyco shares valued at $23.00 for each share of Scott Technologies. The transaction is worth some $400 million, Tyco said.
According to Tyco, Scott Technologies expects 2000 revenues to be $255 to $260 million.
