Gasoline prices in Rhode Island fell another penny last week, and are now down 10 cents from late November, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s January 15 survey of gasoline prices in the state found the average price of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline to be $1.52 per gallon. That number is 17 cents lower than the highest price ever recorded locally by AAA — $1.69 last July 3.

Average prices per gallon of self-serve gasoline in Rhode Island are $1.52 for regular unleaded; $1.62 for midgrade unleaded; $1.69 for premium unleaded; and $1.73 for diesel. Corresponding average prices for full-serve gasoline are $1.65, $1.73, $1.80 and $1.83, respectively.
