Stop & Shop soups subject of recall

BOSTON — The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company is recalling Stop & Shop brand Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup, Condensed Cream of Celery Soup and Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup because the products may be under-processed. The recall includes all codes of the above soups in the 10 + ounce size. Because of the potential for food-borne illness, they are asking consumers who purchased these products to discard them or return them to your local Stop & Shop.

These Stop & Shop brand soups were sold at Stop & Shop stores throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island and Edwards Stores in New Jersey and New York.

The recall was initiated after the manufacturer informed Stop & Shop of a processing error. There have been no illnesses associated with these products. Stop & Shop customers who purchased these products may return them to any Stop & Shop store for a full refund. Customers with questions may contact the manufacturer, Freddy Inc., at 1-888- 797-3210.
