Alan Weiss, president of the Summit Consulting Group Inc., located in East Greenwich, has been named a recipient of the 2004 Axiem Award. His work was recognized for achieving the Axiem Awards standard of excellence in the audio category for the National Speakers Association’s monthly audio magazine, “Voices of Experience.” The Axiem Awards is an international competition that recognizes “Absolute eXcellence In Electronic Media.” Weiss is a consultant, speaker and author who has published 23 books in six languages. He serves on the boards of Trinity Repertory Company, Newport International Film Festival, and Harvard Center for Mental Health and the Media.
