Almond appoints Major Steven Pare to head Rhode Island State Police

Governor Lincoln Almond has announced the retirement of Colonel Edmond Culhane and appointed Major Steven Pare as his successor as superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police, effective October 21.

Major Pare began his career as a state trooper in 1980. He currently serves as field operations officer, the Division’s second in command.
