Governor Lincoln Almond will take part in a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of the recently renovated Moffett Mill on Great Road in Lincoln today at 3 p.m. The water-powered mill was built in 1812 and has undergone a $291,000 rehabilitation funded by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) and the Federal Highway Adminstration.
Almond will be joined by Fran Mainella, director of the National Park Service: William D. Anker, Ph.D., director, RIDOT, and Jonathan Oster, Lincoln Town Administrator. Mr. and Mrs. Eddy DelGrande, who donated the mil to the town of Lincoln for historic preservation, are also expected to attend.
