Amanda Barney has been tapped to represent Rhode Island on the board of directors of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications. Currently, Barney is vice president of communications for the Hospital Association of Rhode Island. She has a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Emerson College and an M.S. in health-services administration from Salve Regina University. •
