NEW YORK — Raytheon Co., which is already involved in a lawsuit over terms of the sale of one of its units, is the target of another complaint.
According to reports, New York-based L-3 Communications Holdings Inc., a maker of military-communications systems, has asked a court to overturn its $160 million purchase of Raytheon’s Training Devices and Training Services business. L-3, which filed a lawsuit in Delaware Chancery Court in December and disclosed the suit in a filing last week with the SEC, claims it was misled about the unit’s financial condition, reports said.

Raytheon was sued last month by construction company Washington Group International, which is seeking to overturn its purchase of Raytheon’s Engineers and Constructors unit. Washington Group claims Raytheon withheld and misrepresented information during the negotiation process last year.
In a filing with the SEC, L-3 said it incurred $100 million in damages due to Raytheon’s failure to disclose liability information related to a U.S. Army contract, reports said. L-3 bought the Raytheon unit in February 2000.
Raytheon officials would not comment on pending litigation.
