Assembly to host energy summit

The Rhode Island General Assembly will host a day-long Energy Summit on Wednesday to focus on various issues related to energy as it prepares for the 2006 legislative sessions

The summit, which begins at 1:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m., will focus on supply, distribution and conservation, as well as providing energy assistance for low-income households in Rhode Island, all with the intent of developing legislation to better address the state’s energy needs.

The event will include three expert panel discussions on broad topics, with time for additional discussions of the issues.
