Mark L. Abatte has joined FirstFed America Bancorp, Inc. as vice president/controller. He previously served as vice president/customer information and analysis and vice president/assistant controller at Home Savings of America in Irwindale, California. Abatte is a certified public accountant and received his bachelor’s in business administration from California State University, Long Beach. He recently relocated from Torrance, California, where he was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association for Management Information in Financial Services and the YMCA of Torrance South Bay. He resides in Barrington with his wife and daughter.
