Gail M. Garreau has been promoted to assistant vice president/treasurer at Newport
Federal Savings Bank. She was formerly employed at PierBank, Greater Providence
Deposit Corporation and Citizens Bank. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Providence
College and her master’s in business administration from Bryant College. Garreau
is also a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College. She
is treasurer of the Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of Rhode Island and is
a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. She resides in Wakefield with her husband,
C. Gregory Sweet.
