Emma Mendez has been named vice president/service quality at Citizens Bank. She was formerly employed as corporate trainer for Thomson Newspapers in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a Ph.D. in applied linguistics from New York University in 1985. Mendez is active with the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation and the American Society for Training and Development. She is a resident of East Providence.
