PROVIDENCE — As a result of a five-year agreement with the SUM Program, BankRI is doubling its ATM availability in Rhode Island and providing 37 times as much access throughout New England. Through use of the SUM Program operated by the NYCE Corp. 85 more ATMs will be accessible to BankRI ATM customers in Rhode Island without charge from those banks, though they might be charged by BankRI, depending on the type of account they have. The SUM Program links about 400 financial institutions, including Citizens Bank, according to the Providence Journal.
