Banneker Industries, Inc., a Supply Chain Management (SCM) firm based in Lincoln, has received ISO 9002 Registration (Certification) by National Quality Assurance, USA.
The company specializes in SCM, including inventory management, assembly, packaging, and distribution of manufactured products. According to Cheryl Watkins Snead, president and CEO of Banneker the company is one of the first minority and among the first women owned businesses to receive ISO certification in Rhode Island. Banneker Industries Inc., received its ISO 9002 Certification from National Quality Assurance USA, an accredited registrar that performs assessments of management systems against requirements of national and international standards of quality. NQA, USA was chosen by Banneker Industries because of its broad industrial, manufacturing, and distribution expertise. According to Banneker officials the company is one of the first Supply Chain Management Companies to be registered by NAQ, USA, which is an emerging industry.
