“Establishing satellite offices in areas like Providence continues to be a great way for us to grow our franchise,” said Steven Dantus, senior managing director and head of Bear Stearns private client services.
All three hires join Bear Stearns from Legg Mason. DiChiaro and Carney began working together in 1978 at E.F. Hutton before moving on to Dean Witter in 1988. They opened the Providence office for Legg Mason in 1995. Bourgault joined them at Legg Mason in 2001.
Bear Stearns’ private client services division, headquartered in New York City, operates branch offices in markets throughout the United States including Boston. The satellite office in Providence will be supported by the Boston branch office.
As part of its growth strategy, Bear Stearns said it continues to consider opening satellite offices in markets where the company has the opportunity to hire top investment professionals.
