Bill Schwartz has been promoted to director of respiratory, pulmonary and neurological services at Rhode Island Hospital. His duties will include managing the respiratory care department, the pulmonary function laboratory, the sleep disorders center, the cerebral vascular laboratory and the EMG laboratory. Schwartz has more than 30 years experience at the hospital, holding various positions from research therapist to manager of adult clinical care. He has served as a clinical instructor in respiratory care at Roger Williams University and the Community College of Rhode Island.
