Friday, June 25 – The Innovation Factor. Scheduled to be held at Bryant College in Smithfield from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at a cost of $55.
Tuesday, June 29 – How to Buy a Building as an Investment or For Your Business. Scheduled to be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., free of charge, at the Enterprise Community Office on 550 Broad St., Providence. This seminar offers information on how to purchase a commercial building. Topics such as location, space and value will be discussed to assist you in assessing your needs when purchasing a building for your business.
Tuesday, July 6 – Marketing on the Internet. Held free of charge from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bell Atlantic Center at Bryant College, 1150 Douglas Pike, Smithfield. This seminar will provide you with information on how the Internet can be used to expand your customer base, access valuable information regarding industry trends, competitors and sales leads.

Tuesday and Thursday, July 13 and 15 – Keeping the Books for Small Business. Scheduled to be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. both nights at the East Bay Chamber of Commerce on 654 Metacom Ave., Warren. The program fee is $50 and registration information can be obtained by calling Anne Bates at (401) 245-0750. The RISBDC and East Bay Chamber of Commerce are offering the two-part seminar. Learn the building blocks of financial statements through record keeping basics. This seminar is a must for business owners whether you keep the books or hire someone to do it. There will also be a demonstration of accounting software.
Thursday, Aug. 12 – Uncle Sam Wants Your Goods & Services. To be held at the Officers Club, Naval Station, Newport, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost: $15.
