Capt. Keith J. Tucker of the Providence Police Department has been named as the department’s public information officer. He will be responsible for mediating requests for information and strengthening the partnership between the media and the department. Tucker has served the department for 29 years. He currently holds the position of commanding officer of the headquarters division. •
