Carol L. Major of The Providence Center has received The Nancy M. Valentine Excellence in Leadership Award by The New England Chapter of The American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Major was recognized for her vision, tenacity, perseverance, commitment, initiative and facilitation in improving mental health care and the advancement of the profession of psychiatric nursing. She works as clinical coordinator of community support services at The Providence Center. Major lives in North Attleboro, Mass.
