Carolina Villela has been named Director of Group Sales at the Providence Marriott Downtown. Raised in Brazil, Villela studied hospitality management at Centro Universitário – Grande Hotel Brazil, and finished the Marriott Management Training Program at the Renaissance Hotel São Paulo. In 2003, she came to the U.S. and earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at Johnson & Wales University. She has worked for the company as a personal host, director of event planning, senior catering sales manager, and area director of sales and events, before being promoted to her new position.
