Choice One reports first-quarter 2001 results

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Choice One Communications, an Integrated Communications Provider with offices in Providence, has announced operating and financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2001. Revenue for the first quarter was $34.9 million, up 18 percent from fourth quarter 2000 and up 413 percent compared with first quarter 2000 revenue of $6.8 million. Gross profits were $8.9 million in the quarter, or 25.4 percent of revenue. Selling, general and administrative expenses totaled $31.8 million in the quarter and were even with fourth quarter 2000.
