CollegeLink employs between 10 and 15 workers in Rhode Island, a spokesman told PBN.com. Forty-five others are employed in Cincinnati, Ohio, he said. He did not provide information on the number of jobs affected by the acquisition.
SEC filings detailing the deal are not yet available. However, the original offer agreement had TMP purchasing CollegeLink for $5.4 million and assuming about $2 million of CollegeLink’s liabilities.
CollegeLink offers pre-college services for college-bound students, linking students, their guidance counselors and families to college and university information. The company voluntarily suspended trading on the American Stock Exchange last month, and subsequently began trading on the Nasdaq Over the Counter market. It last traded at 4 cents per share in morning trading.
