The annual Light of Hope campaign, sponsored by the Pawtucket-based nonprofit Gateway Healthcare, received $6,000 in gift cards and more than 1,000 gifts for children and families from community individuals and businesses. Companies and institutions that provided support to the campaign included Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island (IIARI), Collette Vacations, JH Communications, Tiffany & Co., IKON Office Solutions, Wave Credit Union, Bryant University, Pawtucket Mutual Insurance, ForeCourt, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and MetLife Auto & Home, as well as the “Tee off for Toys” drive and the Pawtucket Lions Club.
The year-round campaign reaches its greatest intensity during the holiday months. “Each year, it is amazing to experience the enthusiastic support of so many donors in our community as they join the campaign to help our clients in need,” said Richard Leclerc, president of Gateway Healthcare. “We know that this year budgets were tighter than usual and we are gratified to see so many people open their hearts and wallets to those less fortunate.” •
