Maintenance services at 280 Stop & Shop Supermarkets in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut will be provided by EMCOR Facilities Services Inc. of Norwalk, Conn., the company said Sept. 12 in a Business Wire news release.
EFS, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc. (NYSE: EME) said it had won a 38-month contract to provide general maintenance services to the supermarkets. Thirty-five mobile technicians will be deployed from EFS’ local subsidiaries to develop “a predictive maintenance approach,” the company said.

Forty-seven Stop & Shop employees, including full-time technicians and management personnel, will be “transitioning into its organization,” EFS said.
