Craig Syata has been named vice president for government relations of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island. He was previously executive director of the Iowa Association of Community Providers. In his new role, Syata oversees legislative and regulatory issues impacting hospitals. He has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a master’s in public administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
