CVS, MasterCard donate $250,000 to UNICEF

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy, in association with MasterCard International, has presented the U.S. Fund for UNICEF with a check for $250,000, to help provide medicine, nutrition, education and emergency relief to millions of children in the United States.

The check was for the proceeds of “Trick or Treat for UNICEF,” a program through which MasterCard donated 25 cents to the global children’s charity for every MasterCard purchase of $35 or more made at CVS stores during October.
