Daniel J. Doyle Jr. has been named 33rd postmaster of the U.S. Postal
Service in Providence. A 32-year veteran, he holds the highest
postmaster position in Rhode Island. In his new role, Doyle oversees
all post offices within the 029 zip code area. In that capacity, he
heads 1,315 employees who process and deliver 1.3 million pieces of
mail each week.
